Dr. Noeen Arshad is a consultant pediatric dentist and an orthodontist. He is the only U.S board certified and dual trained specialist in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics in Pakistan. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric dentistry, The College of Diplomats American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Association of Orthodontists and the founding member of the Pakistan Association of Orthodontists.
Dr. Noeen has been in practice for almost 19 years. In addition to clinical practice he has been involved in teaching as an associate professor at a local dental college in Islamabad and also has to his credit the experience of teaching at a world class university, the National University of Singapore faculty of dentistry. He has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and has numerous publications both locally and internationally. He has been an invited speaker at a number of conferences and has conducted courses at various institutions.
Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Noeen provides comprehensive dental care to children, children with special needs and to children born with facial deformities, like cleft lip and palate. Due to his unique training in pediatric dentistry he is able to provide dental care in a very friendly and caring environment. Patients are referred to him from all over Pakistan and abroad. His dental colleagues bring their own children to him for treatment. This speaks of his professionalism and the trust that he enjoys.
Children with special needs and children born with cleft lip and palate need early intervention. Dr. Noeen has the training from places like the Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Eastman Dental Institute and the Boston University School of Dental Medicine, that allows him to provide critical early care to such children. Dr. Noeen is an integral part of the cleft team at the department of plastic surgery, Shifa International Hospital.
Orthodontics
The unique combination of pediatric dentistry and orthodontics allows Dr. Noeen to manage and intercept dental malocclusion and developmental problems of the jaws at an early age. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children be evaluated by an orthodontist at the age of 7 years.
In addition to routine orthodontic treatment with metal braces, which is ideal for children in their teens, Dr. Noeen provides orthodontic treatment for children with cleft lip and palate and children born with facial deformities who need their teeth straightened.
